Rare with Google is a platform designed to support the inclusion of underrepresented groups into the creative industry. In refreshing the Rare with Google website in 2021, we were asked to add new functionality, ensure a scalable design structure and implement a new branding look.

As a resource hub for professional creatives, the Rare with Google website needed to have a certain design flair while making the consumption of certain key streams of content easy on both desktop and mobile.

Diversity and inclusion is a big issue for Google and one that they see as important for the creative industry as a whole. Difference in the commercial and non-commercial arts is only further-energised by difference in its practitioners, so Google is whole-heartedly behind supporting underrepresented talent to survive, thrive and lead.
