Fuelled by late-night experiments on Facebook’s Spark AR platform, Ghost Skater was a spontaneous idea that we went on to develop and release as a Halloween promo. Featuring our company mascot ‘the dude’ the game is a fun arcade-scroller that uses a camera to track your eyelids as they blink.
By blinking at the right time, you can make our Ghost Skater jump and avoid obstacles that might otherwise have knocked him off his board. Featuring internally developed artworks, UX, UI and gameplay, the project was a great chance for a range of our Phantoms to show what they can do.
In addition to this interactive Instagram filter, we created a range of supporting merch, including an AR enhanced T-shirt that played with some of the graphic imagery from the game.
