A video and social campaign brings the complexity and brilliance of Experiment with Google Ads to life.
For brands used to offline marketing, the myriad of strategies available with digital can be overwhelming. To help marketers, Google established the Experiment with Google Ads team, a group within Google who assist businesses in going digital with a ‘test and learn’ mindset. The team collaborates on campaigns, coming up with hypotheses, constructing tests and scaling results.
In promoting the efforts of EwGA, we reimagined the art direction style and scripted a new explainer video that laid out the context and benefits of the program. This was then animated using illustration, kinetic type and photography.
On social media we embraced the EwGA ethos, running multiple combinations of assets, utilising different art direction styles and formats to see what worked best. This revealed a clear winner, with our animated ads achieving a view-through rate 15.8% above the campaign average.
