Indic Languages - Visual Story

The relevance of localising for regional Indic languages is explained in a new Google format.

Visual Stories is a mobile-first, quick-tap, linear story product that showcases emerging trends in Google Data. Google asked us to create our first regional Visual Story to share with brands some of the insights and experiences around the use of local dialects in Indian marketing.

Digital technology growth is exploding in India, but this rapid adoption is not without its challenges. One of these is the vast amount of languages and dialects throughout the country. To encourage marketers to embrace these dialects and make the web more-usable for a huge population, we were asked to create a Visual Story that delivered the facts.

Starting by developing an art direction, we worked collaboratively with Think with Google to script and progress the design. Finally, animation brought the story to life with simple but complementary motion adding visual interest.
