An animated video series that explains how in-built protections in Google products are keeping you safe.
Security online is a big issue, one that Google takes very seriously. To explain some of the less noticeable protection features that users are enjoying when they use Google products, we created a series of animated videos. The videos use simple narratives to bring to life Gmai’s anti-phishing measures, Google Play Protect and Chrome Safe Browsing.
As a Google Brand & Reputation marketing initiative, it was important the concepts were made easy to consume and understand. We used a playful storytelling approach and restrained palette to create stripped-back engaging scenes. Characterful illustration made the images friendly but able to convey the dangers that the subject matter was dealing with.
In the end the videos were localised into eight different languages used in the Southeast Asian market and make clear to all the gravity with which Google holds its online security positioning.
